Hi, This is an excellent crossword program originally written for the Psion 3a but I can confirm that it also runs on my 3c and my 3mx. It was distributed, and presumably written, by Brider Ltd of Bracknell, Berkshire, UK, a company that no longer exists. No individual person is named in the documentation I've got. I did try to find out who their heirs were but got nowhere. A kind SIBO programmer generated a registration for me and I give it below: Line 1 Phil Line 2 Aypee Line 3 www.aypee2.net Line 4 Surrey Line 5 B1.1/2241 I actually wish he'd disabled the registration process but I understand his reluctance. You have my permission to use my registration but if there's any comeback from anyone who can demonstrate that they represent the heirs of Brider, unlikely in the extreme, I'm afraid I can't help. Only when registered will Xmate import crosswords written in the AcrossLite format, the nearest to a standard (in English anyway). EPOC 32 crossword programs are Clueless (free), Oedipus (free) and RMRCrossword (shareware). Clueless and Oedipus are limited to 15 × 15 grids but Xmate and RMRCrossword aren't. As I never use crosswords greater than 15 × 15 and I prefer Oedipus to the other two that's what I use on my 5mx. But for many purposes I prefer my SIBO machines. There are other crossword programs for it but all only use a dedicated format. Incidentally, if you use an alias for importing AcrossLite files (as I do) please be aware that Xmate will need to be registered again. The reg. file lives in the document directory! Good luck, Phil. http://www.philaypee.co.uk/
