Watchdog is a home security program that monitors your home for intruders
and ambient noises. When a sound is detected a Wave file is played (dog's
bark, police siren, "I've got a gun", etc). Watchdog can also be used
to monitor a baby's room and play a lullaby or a mother's voice when
crying is heard. The sound threshold and wave file played can be
adjusted and the next version will be able to call a macro, page you
and replay to sound (requires 3FAX), or launch an application. Also
has great potential for playing pratical jokes on friends & loved ones.

Place *.WVE in \WVE, SYS$SAMP.LDD in \IMG, and WATCHDOG.OPO in \OPO.
Run Watchdog and choose a sound file. Threshold is the sound level to
set off an alarm. If you are getting too many false alarms, increase
the threshold to 90. Watchdog will turn off your Psion for 8 seconds
and arm itself in the background at the password screen. Leave it on.
This way your data will be protected if an intruder locates your Psion.
To disable the alarm, enter your password and press a key at the
Watchdog screen. We highly recommend you use a 9V adapter so your
