Any file stored on CompuServe with a .ZIP extension is a compressed archive, containing one or more files. To use these files you must extract the files with an "unzip" utility. There are unzip tools available for most operating systems, so it may be most convenient to unzip files on another computer and transfer the extracted file to your Psion. However, it is possible to unzip on the Series 3/3a itself. To do so, download these two files from CIS:PALMTOP, library 18: RUN.APP and UNZIP.IMG. A new icon will appear, with "Unzip" underneath. Select Unzip, press , and this dialogue will appear: Command line: Initial path: On the "Command line" type the disk, directory and name of the file to unzip. On the "Initial path" type the disk and directory where you want the contents of the unzipped file placed. The "Internal disk" is called "M:" in these dialogues. The directory used in the initial path must already exist. Press to extract the files. For example... Command line: M:\WRD\Rdcis.zip Initial path: M:\WRD ...will extract all the files in "Rdcis.zip" to the \WRD\ directory on your Internal disk. After you unzip the file you will find a file with a .TXT, .DOC or .WRD extension that you can read in Psion Word, and it will give you instructions for copying the other files to the correct locations.
