Inteliscrn is a small OPL program written for the Psion series 5. I noticed a few messages on Compuserve and Usenet commenting that people were constantly adjusting the contrast setting for different lighting conditions. I noticed this myself also. I also noticed that I was basically at one contrast setting at work, one at home, one at night etc. This program allows the user to set up several different named settings. A setting consists of a contrast value (if desired) and whether the backlight is on or not. The user then sets up times to use these settings. ie for me, 8am until 5pm I use a setting named "work" which sets my contrast and has no backlight. With the program in the background, when the machine powers up, these times are scanned to see if any is in range and any settings are applied. Note: Times cannot span midnight - so two may be used. Future: Maybe allow a sound at power up, and even a picture to be displayed Popup a menu of all settings when program is brought to forground, and allow one to be selected. Program then goes into background. Installation: Copy all files (except this one) into c:\system\apps\inteliscrn Startup the application in the usual way from the extras bar. This program is freeware. I provide no warrantee whatsoever. Please send comments and suggestions to : 100425.661@compuserve.com Thanks Gareth Alldread
