If you are unsure, then you can check for the files IRCOMM.CSY and IRDA.PRT in the \System\Libs\ folder on either drive C: or D: of your Series5. Use this if an action hangs if eg the phone is moved away during an operation. Note that updating the phone with all entries can take a couple of minutes (investigating this). You can also use this option to disable the comms port so you can use the remote link in the system screen without closing this application. The comms port will be enabled automatically when you next access the phone 'Phone info' - returns info on phone.
