INTRODUCTION
============

CompressDB is a small OPO program which allows you to manually compress your
database, agenda & help files to reduce file sizes and recover lost disk space.

EPOC was designed to compress these files automatically, but it waits until
there is a huge amount of recoverable space before it actually does this.
This can be extremely inconvenient if you need to compress your files to
recover disk space, or if you a releasing a program to the public and want to
compress your files to make them as small as possible.


INSTALLATION
============

This program should be fully compatible with all EPOC machines, including
Psion S5/5mx, Revo, S7, Oregon Scientific Osaris, etc.

To install it, copy the file COMPRESSDB.OPO into any suitable folder on
your Psion. The program does not appear on your Extras bar - to run it,
select its icon from the folder where it is installed.

CompressDB uses the following additional modules, which are supplied with
the program as SIS files:

    SYSRAM1.SIS (Sysram1.opx V1.0, by Symbian Ltd)

If you haven't installed these on your system yet, or if you are using
earlier versions of these modules, then you will need to install them
before you can use CompressDB.
