The release of SuperShow 6.0 is our
most significant upgrade to date.  In
addition to all the new features of
SuperShow like support for True Color
images (16.7 million colors),
windowed .FLI/.FLC files, variables
for control logic, etc., we have
added and enhanced the series of
tools that help you prepare your
presentations.

All the imaging tools can process
True Color (24 bit, 16.7 million
colors) images.  You may copy, crop,
resize and print these images. The
conversion utility in Super ToolBox
also is able to convert your True
Color images to 256, 16 or 2 colors.

Now we will look at the tools in 3
different areas; in the F4-Tools
section of ShowPrep, The Super
ToolBox, and the Extra Tools
Supplementary Disk (available
separately):

   º  Tools in ShowPrep º

1.  Make Project:  Make Project is
the tool that creates your runtime
file for distribution.  This tool
will search your script and create a
runtime .EXE file while searching
your script for all necessary image,
font, flick, text and sound files;
then copying them along with your
runtime .EXE file to a separate
directory.

2.  Extended Mouse Support: You may
now use the mouse to choose from the
menu bar while using the editor.

3.  FLI/FLC Preview:  With the
addition of support of this animation
format, we've added a preview tool.

4.  Extended Program Hooks:  An
extended program hook is really just
a menu within a menu.  We know that
you bounce back and forth between
your favorite paint programs, sound
editors, text editors, etc. and Super
ShowPrep.  You may now access these
programs right from the tools menu in
ShowPrep.  And when you're finished,
you are returned directly to where
you were in ShowPrep.

5.  Context Sensitive Help: All the
script commands are covered in the
Help Feature of ShowPrep.  To pop-up
help on any script command, highlight
the command and press F1.

1.  Video Mode Display: This tool
will show every video mode your
graphics card is capable of showing.

2.  Gallery: Gallery is a utility
that allows you to view snapshots
(16 per screen) of your .PCX images
in any directory on your drive.

3.  Full Color Printing: In version
6 you may print any image... 2, 16,
256, or 16 million colors to your
line printer.

ToolBox supports over 300 different
printers, including color printers.
With the printer setup you can resize
your print out, rotate it, invert it,
set up by pixels, inches or
centimeters, print landscape or
portrait, and locate it anywhere on
the page.

Available separately (see order form)
is a series of helpful, specialized
tools and utilities.  Some are:

1.  PCX-Talker: This program is a
sub-set of SuperShow which allows you
to access the SBTalker voice
synthesizer from Creative Labs.  With
PCX-Talker you can show your PCX
images using the SuperShow screen
transitions while accessing the
speech synthesizer.  You must have
SBTalker to use PCX-Talker.  SBTalker
comes packaged with every Sound
Blaster card from Creative Labs.

2.  FLICVOC: This is a FLI/FLC player
that gives you the ability to link
and play any .VOC digitized sound
file in the background while the
animation runs.

3.  VOC2PC: A small utility that
allows you to play .VOC digitized
files through your PC Speaker.

4.  PCXHDR: Another small utility
that will change video mode header
information in a PCX file using a
batch process.

5.  Alternate Editor:  SP5A.EXE is an
alternate ShowPrep editor that allows
for up to 5000, 78 character lines
for a show script.  While there is no
limit to the number of lines in a
SuperShow presentation, the standard
ShowPrep editor has a limit of 1500
script lines.  The alternate editor
does not have mouse capability, the
editing commands are slightly
different, and each line is limited
to 78 characters.
