Slide Demo of Hayman tones This .zip contains the files to demo the Hayman tones process of converting photos for display on the Series 3a using a good range of tones. To use the files: download SLIDE24.ZIP and install it using its own instructions; put Hayman.dbf into a SLIDE directory on any drive; put all *.WVE files in a WVE directory on any drive and put all *.PIC files in a PIC directory on any drive. Run SLIDE and open Hayman.dbf and it should all work. You can also open the *.PIC files using any drawing program which uses the gray plane. The files S+MRTRUA.PIC and SIMGUITR.PIC were converted from photos taken on a Casio QV-10 digital camera. I can convert your photos for use on the Series 3a and adjust the contrast, etc, for US$10/UK£3.50 for the first image in the batch and US$6/UK£4 for every subsequent image (minimum order is two images). I can accept images in most file formats including colour images and Casio's CAM format but they must be zipped. I can also scan images but there may be an extra charge. Download the file PHOTOS3A.ZIP from Library 18 for more samples of the process. Payment should be sent by cheque in any major currency for the equivalent amount to me at: 3 Mallam Street Karori Wellington New Zealand When sending files please make it clear whether you want the whole file converted or just an area which matches the S3a's screen (480x160 pixels). It does not matter what resolution you scan at so long as the desired object/s are within the area you want displayed on the S3a (if you want the whole image processed) or within the screen size of 480x160 pixels. It is best to have large objects as the S3a's screen resolution is approx 100dpi. Hayman tones can be displayed by all drawing programs which use the gray plane. Steve Litchfield's SLIDE program allows you to create slide shows with or without sound and text to display your photos. With SLIDE you can create separate photo albums of your family and products/work. Please let me know if you require any further information. Roger Hayman
