What is naturism?
Have you ever stopped to think why it is silly to wear clothes when you go swimming?
Naturists belive that there is no reason to be ashamed of their bodies, and that clothes
should be worn when appropriate for comfort or protection, but that it is perfectly
alright not to wear clothes in an appropriate setting. (That's my definition, others will
differ). Mere nudity need not and should not be associated with sex.
I think the British
Naturism site explains that better than I can, so if you want to
know what they say, just
Alternatively visit
Richard Burnham's
website for another viewpoint on why it is silly to wear clothes when
swimming.
Clubs around Oxford
There are two clubs around the Oxford area. Oxnat is the larger of
these clubs, with regular swimming sessions in Didcot,
and a club site near Oxford. The other club is Woodlands
(formerly known as EDUN) with swims in Oxford.
Actually Woodlands events are clothing optional rather than naturist,
but the difference is not generally noticeable.
